So my son was taken out of his cast right at 6 weeks. Nov 12th. The cutting off of that cast was pretty traumatic for the little guy. If you haven't had a cast removed it is basically a shop vac type device but at the end is a saw and its probably a little louder.

Now the saw can only cut the fiberglass so there is no danger. But between the noise and vibration it was enough to scare the heck out of him. We were told to give him some tylenol a little before his appointment so we did,...

Just to give a quick update.

We are at week 3. Half way home, YEAH!!! My son is set to get his cast off November 6th. My wife and I would agree that this has been a slow moving 3 weeks. We never try to wish the time away usually but given this life changing event we sort of do and sort of don't want to.

My son is doing very well. We keep him entertain with toys, coloring and trying to play with him as much as normal as possible. We put him in a jogging stroller or wagon...

As most of you know, my son broke his femur on his 2nd birthday. This is a life/family changing event. As my wife and I were looking for answers, all the doctors could tell us is that it was a freak accident. No calcium deficiency or weak bone syndrome or other cause for concern.

Well being a geek, I took to the internet for some answers and what I found really helped us sleep the first few nights. Knowing that we had to put our son in a Spica Cast for up to 6 weeks.

Wow it's seems like it's been a year since I posted here. I've been working way to hard, probably close to 280 to 290 hours the past 3+ weeks.

The light at the end of the tunnel is suppose to be June 25th, so hopefully that comes quick, I miss my family and I believe the miss me.

Right now I'm testing blogs and getting a new server up for my dad.
